Councillors meet as a Council at the Parish Rooms on Burnside Grove on the dates listed below and residents are welcome to attend. Councillors can also be contacted individually about issues of interest or concern, planning decisions and emergency planning for Tollerton.

To quote its Constitution :

Tollerton Parish Council consists of nine councillors elected every four years. Rushcliffe Borough Council maintains the Register of Electors. Tollerton Parish Council’s vision is:

To ensure Tollerton continues to be a vibrant rural village with a strong community spirit, where everybody matters. The aim is for Tollerton to be a prosperous, safe and attractive place in which to live and work for the present generation and for generations to come”. The purpose of the Council is to work within its statutory powers to maintain and enhance the village’s public amenities, and to help the people of Tollerton to improve their quality of life, in accordance with the Council’s vision, and to work in partnership with Rushcliffe Borough Council and Nottinghamshire County Council. The Council will exercise all its powers and duties in accordance with the law and this Constitution, and utilise its limited budget to achieve the greatest good for the community.”

The Council also manages local facilities including the Parish Rooms in the village centre, allotments and the Open Space on Lothian Road, providing a playing / sports field, children’s park, skate park and young people’s facilities. It provides support for Tollerton community groups, projects and events, and can also give grant aid if appropriate.
